Automotive Supply Chain - QMS - ISO/TS 16949 Certification

 

We can explain as a quality management system into four parts:-

 

• Standards, which oversee the output of the organization such as the product or service and also how this relates to the customer experience.

That being said, many customers insist on tier 2 and 3 companies being registered although a €middle of the road' compromise is for these businesses to be registered with ISO 9000 instead.

It is perhaps easier to look as ISO/TS 16949 as a business system and a way of ensuring international quality standards across several parts of the whole industry. Fundamentally it applies to businesses and organizations that supply parts, materials, and other products to manufacturers and it consists of over 1000 separate requirements that are designed to maintain consistency and quality.
